About

This is Deanna, creator of the Stories in the City Blog. I’m a New Yorker, a creative soul, and I love art. This is a feel-good undertaking, a way to channel creative energies and share with our friends.

Dora is the graphic designer, a painter and the creative director of this blog that makes it look so nice and polished. For your website design, she can be contacted at:

Why NYC? I love New York like a good friend, someone that inspires, and never stops surprising with new and exciting ideas. There’s so much happening in this city that you won’t find in guidebooks, from the mundane to the grandest events, there’re adventures around every corner, and amazing people doing incredible things. So much to be discovered.

These posts are the result of years of exploration, and making connections to events, and creators. It’s hundreds of art exhibits, starting my own personal art gallery – pics forthcoming. Reading and exploring, never failing to be impressed by this incredible place with so many diverse, incredible people.

The aim is to show NYC from a perspective of a local who truly loves and appreciates this city for all the opportunities to make connections, to experience art and culture in a way that’s immersive and deeply personal, and to be able to build on the foundations of learning with an open mind, gratitude, kindness and always, always positive energy.
